Ada M. Currie, 97, a resident of Carson City for many years, passed away at her home in Dayton on April 26, 2002.
She was born in Michigan and came to California on her honeymoon with her husband, Howard C. Currie, in 1926.
The couple lived in Woodfords, Calif., for 15 years, where Mr. Currie was the Alpine County road commissioner. He preceded Ada in death in 1978.
Family members remember her as a youthful, living mother and a radiant Christian woman.
Surviving relatives include her four children: Jean Higgins, of Dayton; Dick Currie, of Modesto, Calif.; Mark Currie, of Reno; and Linda Van Rigteren, of Dayton. Her five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at FitzHenry's Chapel of the Faith in Carson City on Wednesday, May 1, at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Dayton Cemetery. FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City is in charge of the arrangements.
