Galena High School is looking to fill two varsity coaching positions.

The school has openings for its girls tennis and girls soccer programs.

In girls tennis, Zach Gross has retired after coaching for the past 25 years at various locations. He has been with Galena the past six years, helping with the boys tennis team before taking over the girls program in 1999. Galena won the Northern 4A title in 2002, the second regional title won by the Grizzlies under Gross.

In girls soccer, Brian Cartinella has stepped down to pursue his degree. Cartinella coached the team for the past two years. In 2002, Galena placed second in the High Desert League and advanced to the Northern 4A semifinals under Cartinella.
