Obituary: Joyce Louise Mullican

Joyce Louise Mullican, an eight-year resident of Carson City, ied Dec. 24, 2002 in Carson City.

She was born June 19, 1933 in Exeter, Calif., to Calvin and Georgia McFadden Thacker. She was 69.

Mrs. Mullican married Lloyd in 1950, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and making crafts. She enjoyed taking care of her family.

She lived in Atascadero, Calif., from 1962 to1994.

Mrs. Mullican was preceded in death by her son Terry E. in 1999, two brothers and a sister.

Among her survivors are her husband, Lloyd of Carson City; son Gary L., of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; daughters Tamara M. Kendall of Desplains, Ill., Gerri Ann Bettencourt of San Jose, Calif., and Christina L. Mathes of Atascadero; sister, Joann Ormonde of American Canyon, Calif.; brother Steven Tucker of Carson City; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
