A funeral for Frances Susanna Gorsuch, 94, a Topaz Ranch Estates resident for the past 20 years, will be at noon Friday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville.
A viewing will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Gall.
Mrs. Gorsuch died Jan. 31, 2002, in Wellington. She was born Jan. 18, 1908, in Oakland, Calif., to Joseph N. and Lola Florinne Thornton.
Before moving to Nevada, she lived in California for 70 years; Placerville, Carmichael and Sharp Park.
She attended elementary school in Oakland, Calif., secondary school at Durham High School in California and college at Chico Normal School in Chico, Calif.
Mrs. Gorsuch was a public school teacher for 60 years and a private music teacher for 20 years. She was member of the Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Oct. 27, 1991.
Among her survivors are her daughter Jola T. Thornton of Fair Oaks, Calif.; son Lee T. of Jamestown, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Smith Valley.
