The Carson Senator inline hockey team remained hot with six more wins in recent action.
Carson defeated Fallon 9-2, North Valleys 15-1 and Elko 12-1. Only an excellent effort by Elko's goalie kept the game that close as the Senators took 71 shots on goal.
The Senators went on to beat South Tahoe 15-1 and then defeated Reno 14-1 at the Pony Express Pavilion. Again the score was only that close because of a strong Reno defensive effort as Carson took 77 shots.
Finallly, Carson's team continued to work well together in a 13-2 win over McQueen.
Carson will next play Bishop at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Total Sports Complex in Sparks. Admission is free.
Carson coach Chuck Stetler said the game should be competitive as Bishop plays year-round. Carson's program is shut down during the summer because the Pony Express Pavilion is used for other events, Stetler said.
"Someday we might be able to keep our city hockey program running to completely recognize our full potential with this sport, which is only proven by the efforts and results of those who support it," Stetler said. "My many thanks to those who devote their undivided efforts and time to this program."
