Douglas, a 46-44 winner against Carson in the Northern 4A regional finals Saturday, opens with a 6:35 p.m. contest against Western. Carson plays its opener at 9 a.m. against Las Vegas.
Douglas (24-5) will be up against a Western squad that lost to undefeated Centennial 58-37 in the Sunset Region finals on Saturday. Carson (19-10) will play a Las Vegas team that lost to Green Valley in the Sunrise Region finals on Saturday, 71-35.
In other first-round pairings on Wednesday, Green Valley (27-6) plays Bishop Gorman (25-6) at 12:10 p.m. and Centennial (31-0) plays Valley (18-13) at 3:20 p.m.
Four boys games are also set for Wednesday at Lawlor. Green Valley (27-5) plays McQueen (22-9) at 10:35 a.m., Las Vegas (28-3) plays Centennial (21-10) at 1:45 p.m., Cheyenne (28-4) plays Desert Pines (20-5) at 5 p.m. and Hug (24-6) plays Bishop Gorman (25-6) at 8:10 p.m.
Hug defeated McQueen 56-50 in the Northern 4A championship game on Saturday night.
