A celebration of life for Edith Caroline Schultz, 80, a Carson City resident for the past 15 years, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. Schultz died Feb. 21, 2002, at her home. She was born Feb. 7, 1922, in Sioux City, Iowa, to John and Marie McGruder Beeler.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Westminster, Calif.
Mrs. Schultz was an accountant. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and writing poetry. She also enjoyed playing all types of board games and dominoes. On her 65th birthday, she went on a hot air balloon ride. Since 1973, she organized the yearly Beeler family reunion. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and holidays with her family.
She was preceded in death by a sister Lavon Smith in 1990.
Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law Bill and Pamela Schultz; daughters Jonith Moon and daughter and son-in-law Susan and Ronald Pickrell, all of Carson City; brother John Beeler of Redding, Calif.; sister Lucille Corrick of Vallejo, Calif.; and grandchildren Amanda Pickrell and Matt and Joey Schultz.
