Obituary: Mary Ella Welsh

A funeral for Mary Ella Welsh, 77, a Carson City resident for the past five years, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Welsh died Jan. 1, 2002, in Carson City. She was born Jan. 27, 1924, in San Antonio, Texas, to James and Mary Cordaway Knight.

She married Neale Welsh on April 15, 1978, in Sunnyvale, Calif.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Murphys, Calif.

Among her survivors are her husband Neale of Carson City; sons Robert Henderson of Redding, Ore. and Bill and Jim Welsh of California; daughter Laurie Schwartzrock of California; two brothers, two sisters and four grandchildren.

Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
