The Carson High bowling team extended its winning streak to 10 on Thursday with a convincing 54.5 to 8.5 win over Reno at the Reno Hilton.
The Senators were led by series from Tony Vacarro (710), Danny Dunbar (672) and David Geiger (607).
Vacarro rolled a 231 in his first game and Geiger bowled a 248 in his opener. "Tony and Danny set the tone for us with outstanding first games," Carson coach Marc Dastous said. "That was the difference because we never looked back."
The Senators also had outstanding efforts from five other bowlers who rolled at least 500: Aaron Candee (563), Meaghan Wass (555), Robyn Conn (542), Rachel Caskey (517) and Holly Tersteege (508).
Carson will next bowl at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 against Reed at the High Sierra Lanes. The two schools had a close match last year, which was won by Carson 26-19.
