The owners of Cavallero Heating and Air Conditioning aren't letting an arsonist close them down.
Sue Cavallero said the business is scambling to answer phones and cover customer calls after a fire destroyed the office portion of their building on Highway 50.
"We all manned our jobs and got through the day," she said on Saturday. "We have an obstacle and we will overcome it."
Cavallero said much of the company's inventory received only light damage in the early Friday morning fire.
"The inventory is not hurt much, but some of the main offices are totally gone," she said. "We had to set up portable buildings and we're looking to rent some empty offices in the building next to us."
The Cavalleros are scheduled to meet with the insurance adjuster on Monday.
"The people in the community have been great," she said. "Everybody has been pouring out support and we would like to thank them for their help."
Cavallero employees will be answering calls today as normal.
"I'm sending my two receptionists down to the phone service and they will be in contact with us by radio."
About a third of the building at 5441 Highway 50 East was burned in the 4:48 a.m. fire.
The east end of the 24-year-old structure was gutted in the fire.
Fire investigators are looking for the cause of the fire, but say it was suspicious.
