A service for Marguerite Tate Patton, 87, a former Oakesdale, Wash., resident, will be Saturday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home in Spokane, Wash. Burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Patton died Feb. 27, 2002, at her daughter's home in Carson City. She was born Oct. 29, 1914, on a small farm between Palouse and Pullman, Wash., to Robert Lee and Catherine Miller Tate.
She attended Pitts Grade School, graduated from Johnson High School in 1932 and attended Washington State College.
She married Crawford Lee Patton Aug. 22, 1934, in Asotin, Wash.
She and her husband farmed in Oakesdale from 1939 until 1961, when they moved to Renton, Wash. She worked for Credco Associates in Seattle until retiring in 1982. She was a member of Rebecca Lodge in Renton. She enjoyed her family and traveling throughout the western United States to enjoy her great-grandchildren's ballet, soccer, swimming and baseball events.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and one sister.
Among her survivors are her daughter Claudia of Carson City; son David of Sun City West, Ariz.; son C. W. Jack of Covington, Wash.; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
