Carson High graduate Darrell Rasner was named to the all-Western Athletic Conference second team in baseball on Tuesday.
The right-handed junior pitcher was named to the second team along with University of Nevada teammate Mike Gillies, who was chosen as a utility player. Rasner and Gillies were the only two Nevada players to be named to the first or second team.
Rasner was 6-8 with a 3.70 earned run average and had 109 strikeouts in 104 2/3 innings. Rasner may have finished his career with the Wolf Pack as he is eligible for Tuesday's Major League draft and is expected to be taken high.
