The Northern 4A girls soccer championship was canceled Saturday because of unplayable conditions at Foster Field, according to Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association executive director Jerry Hughes.
The game played between Douglas and Reed will be played sometime next week but a date and a site have yet to be determined.
The Reno High field has been abused over the last four days. Two soccer games were played on it Wednesday and two more on Thursday. Then the Husky football team played a game on it Friday and, coupled with the inclement weather, was not fit for two more games on Saturday.
South Tahoe and Reed played the boys final on it Saturday, with the Vikings winning 3-0.
