Commuter traffic in both directions on Highway 395 near Muller Lane was backed up for about a mile Monday morning by a crash in the middle of the roadway.
Two cars collided while traveling south on the highway shortly before 9 a.m., said Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Mike Teeuwen. He said no one was seriously hurt.
A woman made a right-hand turn onto Highway 395 from Muller Lane in front of a car traveling southbound.
That car, occupied by a husband and wife, collided with the woman's vehicle.
All three occupants were taken to Carson-Tahoe Hospital in Carson City. Their names were not immediately available.
Teeuwen said the long skid marks indicate the southbound driver was traveling about 45 mph. It appears the driver was not exceeding the speed limit, he said.
The driver of the first vehicle likely will be charged with failure to yield, Teeuwen said
