A power outage affecting several hundred customers in the South Lake Tahoe and Stateline area lasted nearly two hours Friday.
Emergency generators were turned on at Heavenly Ski Resort, and all systems were going without much disruption to skiing, Heavenly spokeswoman Molly Cuffe said Friday.
The Gunbarrel lift stopped running for a few minutes, but was reactivated when the auxiliary generators were turned on. Two lifts remained closed through Friday. The gondola, however, was unaffected. California Lodge was without power for the duration of the outage.
The outage started at 9:50 a.m., and power was restored about 11:30 a.m. A spokesman for Sierra Pacific Power Co. said a circuit breaker was tripped, possibly by a fallen tree limb, causing outages to "several hundred" customers.
"We're just thankful Sierra Pacific was able to get our power back," Cuffe said.
