A handyman drew some unintended attention Wednesday in an East Carson City neighborhood when a resident thought she spotted him carrying a gun.
The gun, however, turned out to be a drill.
About seven sheriff's deputies, one carrying a shotgun, responded to the 2200 block of Dori Way after the tenant in an adjoining home thought she saw the barrel of a rifle peek out from behind a wooden partition separating her storage space from her neighbor.
When police arrived they discovered a handyman under the mobile home hanging drywall in the crawl space.
The item mistaken for a gun was a drill, said Lt. Ray Saylo of the Carson City Sheriff's Department.
No charges were filed.
