The Carson High girls cross country team swept the top four spots in winning the Rite of Passage Invitational on Thursday.
With 16 points, Carson easily outdistanced Manogue (57) and Truckee (60).
Shanna Sparks won the girls race in 19 minutes, 45 seconds. Sheena Bonaldi placed second (21:31), Tiffany Halen took third (22:35) and Kristi Neddenreip placed fourth (22:53). Also for Carson, Patty Capistrant took sixth (23:18) and Amanda Benson took seventh (23:23).
In the boys meet, Carson placed third (109) behind Spring Creek (98) and Truckee (46).
