Carson girls golf places fifth

For the third straight week, the Carson High girls golf team was able to improve its score in a Northern 4A tournament.


After firing a 510 last week, the Senators finished fifth for the second straight week, shooting a 508 on Wednesday in Elko.


Elizabeth Rankl had the low score for Carson with a 92. Also for the Senators, Ciarra Christian shot a 93, Lindsay Farnworth had a 100, Amanda Carvin shot a 103, Megan Good had a 120 and Erica McAfee shot a 124.


Galena won for the third straight week with a 455. Galena's Lux Gill was also the low score medalist with a 76. Elko placed second with a 478, South Tahoe was third with a 482 and Spanish Springs took fourth with a 500.
