More than 120 people have signed up to run, walk or jog around Carson City on Saturday morning during the fifth annual Jester Jog to benefit the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada.
This year's event includes a fun run for kids, a 2-mile walk, a 2-mile run and a 10k run, said Erin Lehman, who is organizing the even with Tim Tetz of Fleet Feet Sports.
Lehman, a member of the museum's board of directors, said the run is one of the biggest fund-raisers of the year.
Signups begin at 8 a.m., with the races starting at 9 a.m. In addition to the quarter-mile kids fun run there will be a bounce house and prizes.
For serious runners, the event is sanctioned by Fleet Feet.
Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each category and special awards will be given to all children who participate.
"This is a fun run for the entire family," Lehman said.
Applications can be picked up through Friday at Fleet Feet. Call 883-3361 for information.
