A funeral for Douglas L. Moline, 45, will at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville.
A get-together to honor his memory will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eagle Station in Carson City.
Mr. Moline died Aug. 5, 2003, in Gardnerville. He was born May 17, 1958, in Long Beach, Calif., to Robert and Rose Marie Moline.
He attended schools in Lakewood and Bellflower, Calif. He enjoyed all sports, but excelled in football, being named all-conference most valuable defensive lineman.
Mr. Moline was a maintenance man for an apartment complex with several hundred units. He was a general contractor for many years, a Realtor and built props at Universal Studios. After moving to Nevada in 1994, he was a cross-country truck driver with his brother Martin.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and the outdoors. He was baptized a Catholic and was a member of the Eagles Lodge Arie 1006 in Carson City.
Among his survivors are his parents of Gardnerville; brother and best friend Marty of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law, Krystal and Travis Kermott of San Diego; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Angie Moline of Moreno Valley, Calif.; grandson Parker Moline of Moreno Valley; sister and brother-in-law, Melanie and Larry Ewart of Gardnerville; nephews Drew and Clayton Ewart of Gardnerville; uncles and aunts Del and Mary Ann Sillman of Santa Maria, Calif., and Francis and Ethel Sedlacek of New River, Ariz.; and numerous cousins.
Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
