Obituary: Kathryn T. Delorey

A celebration of life for Kathryn T. Delorey, 86, will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 23 at Our Lady of Tahoe Catholic Church on Elk Point Road.

Mrs. Delorey died Aug. 5, 2003, in Las Vegas. She was born to George T. Mc Isaac in Dorchester, Mass.

Before moving to Las Vegas, she lived at Marla Bay at Lake Tahoe for 50 years, moving there in 1949.

Mrs. Delorey opened the first customer service office for Continental Telephone Co. in 1959 and retired 20 years later. She was an active member of Our Lady of Tahoe Catholic Church and served many years as president of the Church Lady's Guild and on the Pastoral Council.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul B.; daughter Susan; sister Mary; and brothers Leo and John.

Among her survivors are her sons Paul, Joseph and Daniel; sisters Margaret and Rita; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
