A memorial service for Ellsworth Allen Funk, 80, a Mason Valley resident for the past 52 years, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington.
Mr. Funk died Dec. 5, 2003, at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington. He was born April 23, 1923, in Sand Point, Idaho.
He came to the Mason Valley area in 1951 and worked on numerous ranches as a ranch hand. He enjoyed prospecting.
Mr. Funk served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later served in the U.S. Air Force.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
