A memorial service for Alfred Maurice Goddard, 90, a Wellington resident for the past 30 years, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the First Baptist Church in Topaz Ranch Estates.
Mr. Goddard died Dec. 14, 2003, at his home. He was born Aug. 17, 1913, in New Brunswick, N.J., to Alfred and Margaret Novak McCloskey.
He attended high school in California.
Before moving to Wellington, he lived in West Covina, Calif., for many years.
Mr. Goddard owned and operated Commercial Stationary and Printing in Los Angeles for more than 30 years, retiring in 1972. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Topaz Ranch Estates.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Among his survivors are his daughter, Sandra McDonald of Westcliffe, Colo.; brother, Edward Goddard of Wellington; grandsons Brian McDonald of Wellington and James McKew of Minden and five great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Douglas County Mortuary in Minden.
