A service for Kathryn "Kay" LaVerne Wilson, 82, of Lemmon Valley will be at 12:30 p.m. today at the E.L.M. Church, 9301 Lemmon Drive, Lemmon Valley.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon today at P.H. Dold & Sons.
Mrs. Wilson died Dec. 11, 2003, at home. She was born Aug. 9, 1921, in Butte, Mont., to Rod and Esta Lee MacDonald.
She graduated from Commerce High School in San Francisco and moved to Reno from after living in Novato, Calif., for 20 years.
Mrs. Wilson worked as a beautician, writer and school teacher, teaching all grades for 15 years. She retired from Reno Business College in 1989. She was a member of the Republican National Committee and E.L.M. Community Church. She was baptized an Episcopal.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert, on Nov. 30, 1998.
Among her survivors are her daughters Sandra Louise Reed of Carson City, Loretta Lee Ament of Silver Springs and Alice Mary Paulson of Lemmon Valley; sons William Walter Wilson of California and Gerald Arnold Wilson of Reno; 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
