A memorial service for Lucille Mary Johnson, 76, of Carson City will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Capitol Baptist Church in Carson City.
Mrs. Johnson died Dec. 29, 2003, at Evergreen/Ormsby Care Center. She was born Aug. 3, 1927, in Long Beach, Calif., to Perry and Edna Forrester Hufford.
She had lived in the Northern Nevada area for the past 10 years, coming from Los Alamos, Calif. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker. She devoted her time to family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley, in 1988 in Los Angeles.
Among her survivors are sons Paul Bloomquist of Lompoc, Calif., Edward Johnson of Jamaica, Perry Johnson of Reno, Fred Johnson of Sparks and Gary Johnson of Carson City; daughter, Mary Hobbs of Henderson; brothers Jack Hufford of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Perry Hufford of Sonora, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
Inurnment will be with her husband at the Veterans Los Angeles National Cemetery. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
