A Mass of Resurrection for Margaret Walsh, 86, a Gardnerville resident for the past year, will be at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Gall Catholic Church.

A viewing will be at 8 a.m. Monday at St. Gall. Burial will be at Happy Homestead Cemetery in South Lake Tahoe.

Mrs. Walsh died Dec. 29, 2003, in Carson City. She was born Feb. 16,1917, in Newark, N.J., to Charles and Margaret Brown McKeon.

Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in Clifton, N.J., where she and her husband were parishioners of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Mrs. Walsh worked for five years as a secretary at St. Paul's School and for nine years as a secretary at Continental Can Co., Inc.

She was past president of the St. Paul's Mother's Auxiliary and St. Paul's Rosary Society and a member of St. Paul's Leisure Time Club. She was a member of St. Gall.

Among her survivors are her daughters Dorothy Walsh and Mary Ellen Stringer; son-in-law, William Stringer; sister, Mildred Swarthout; granddaughters Beth Anne Hutchinson and Kathleen Stringer; great-granddaughter, Emily Elizabeth; and great-grandson, Ryan Robert Hutchinson.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to a charity of choice.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
