If you did not attend the Sunset Rotary "An Affair of the Heart," you missed an amazing night of great entertainment. It was wonderful. Rumor has it this event will happen again next year. Plan ahead!
I need to clarify that you do not have to be a member of the organizations to attend any of these great events listed. So come join the fun E
The big talk was this weekend's "An Evening by the Bay" presented by Noon Rotary. Get your tickets to meet football legend Ronnie Lott and enjoy the essence of San Francisco cuisine. Limited space is available, so call now.
I want to thank the 182 remarkable students at St. Teresa's School. On Valentine's Day, the students presented money they had raised in a penny drive to three organizations, including the Carson City Homeless Program.
I accepted the check in behalf of Fritsch and Bordewich/Bray Elementary schools' nurses to help students. I am overwhelmed by the amount this school raised in such a short time. More amazing was how the children display such a giving and loving essence; you could truly feel the love in that room.
I told Principal Rick Redican, with whom I have had the pleasure of working over the years, how exceptional all his students are. And, Rick, they are lucky to have you, too. I also want to thank Student Council President Yvette Hollett for all her help that day. The Rev. Jerry and parents, you should be very proud of your children at St. Teresa's. Thank you all!
