Gael Robin Nation, 57, a Gardnerville resident for the past seven years, died Jan. 9, 2003, at her home. She was born Oct. 2, 1945, in Oakland, Calif., to Dr. Carl W. Jr. and Grace M. Rosenkrentz Schmidt.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in Santa Cruz, Calif.
Mrs. Nation worked at the Genoa Country Store in Genoa as the deli manager. She enjoyed animals, painting and gourmet cooking. She was the owner of Robin's Gourmet Delights.
Among her survivors are: mother Grace Kober of Santa Barbara, Calif.; son Tony Pearce of Gardnerville; daughter Cheri L. Thornton of Elko; sisters Daren Griswold of Gardnerville and Heidi Star Savage of Santa Barbara; and grandchildren Jeffrey and Steven Pearce.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City.
