Jean Kepner, 78, a Carson City resident for the past 78 years, died Jan. 17, 2003, in Carson City. She was born Oct. 28, 1924, in Salt Lake City to Hiram F. and Kathryne Allison Farnsworth.
She graduated from Oakland High School in Oakland, Calif.
She married Kenneth Kepner Nov. 25, 1942, in Reno.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived at South Lake Tahoe for nine years and in Oakland for 58 years.
Mrs. Kepner worked for 30 years as a teller at First Interstate Bank of Nevada until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her son Robert in 1988.
Among her survivors are her husband, Kenneth K. Kepner, of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law James and Maria Kepner of Exeter, Calif.; brother, Bill Farnsworth of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Inurnment will be at Walton's Carson Gardens. At her request, there will be no services.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
