Moving van overturns, backs up Carson traffic

A moving van overturned at the junction of U.S. 395 and U.S. 50 Tuesday evening, causing long traffic delays. No injuries were reported and no other vehicles were involved.

Trooper Blair Harkleroad of the Nevada Highway Patrol said the United Van Lines truck was going too fast as it came down Spooner Summit on U.S. 50, and flipped as the driver tried to make a right turn onto U.S. 395.

Harkleroad also said the rig's rear brakes may have been out of adjustment.
