Obituary: Benjamen Cave Maxwell

A memorial service for Benjamen Cave Maxwell, 19, a lifetime Mound House-Dayton area resident, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Maxwell died June 2, 2003, in the Carson River in Lyon County. He was born July 17, 1983, in Carson City, to Craig Victor and Kathryn Cave Maxwell.

He attended Virginia City High School.

Mr. Maxwell was a metal fabricator at Hess-Microgen Inc. of Mound House. He loved the outdoors and his Baja Bug off-road vehicle.

He was preceded in death by his aunt, Alfreda Fisher.

Among his survivors are his grandparents Don and Pat Cave of Carson City; father and friend Craig and Sylvia Maxwell; mother and stepfather Kathryn and Cap Parshley of Dayton; brother and sister-in-law Chris and Rachel Reynolds of Washoe Valley; uncle, Rick Cave of Dayton; aunt, Debbie Sorlien of Carson City; stepbrothers Chris Parshley of Reno, Jared Parshley of Carson City and Michael Heinemeyer of Mound House; niece, Krysti Lynn Reynolds of Washoe Valley; and cousins, the Predare family of Dayton.

He will be buried at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Virginia City High School in his memory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
