A memorial service for 16-year Carson City resident Joanne Hoffman, 69, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. Hoffman died Feb. 27, 2003 at her home in Carson City. One of 13 children, she was born March 10, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Anthony and Antoinette Whittich Ludwig.
Prior to moving to Carson City she lived in Torrance, Calif.
She was a homemaker and co-founder of Retirees to Eliminate State Income Source Tax of America, and an avid newspaper reader. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, gardening and bowling.
Mrs. Hoffman was a Catholic and a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Among her survivors are her husband William C. Hoffman of Carson City; sons William C. Jr. of Harbor City, Calif. and Robert A. of Carson City; three granddaughters and one grandson.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
