Mary Beth Callahan, 77, a Carson City resident for the past 29 years, died Feb. 28, 2003, at home. She was born April 21, 1925, in Ophir, Utah, to William and Elizabeth Davis Centers.
She graduated from high school in Ophir.
She married Clyde Callahan in 1963 at Lake Tahoe. He preceded her in death in February 1969.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Cupertino, Calif., for six years and the San Francisco Bay area for many years.
Mrs. Callahan worked at Bethlehem Steel in the Bay area before moving to Carson City, where she worked for State Farm Insurance and as executive secretary to the Division of Conservation, State of Nevada. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings.
Among her survivors include her sons Randall Alt and Michael D. Alt; daughter, Diane C. Callahan Clustka; daughter-in-law, Merlene R. Alt; and grandchildren Andrea Lynne Clustka and Taylor James, Carrie Beth and Jason Randall Alt.
A private family service was held.
