The Carson Senator bowling team won its third straight High Desert Interscholastic title with a 36-9 win over Reed on Wednesday at Reno's National Bowling Stadium.
Carson, the Mountain League champion, finished the year 8-0 by beating Reed, the Valley League champion. Carson has never lost in three years of competition. The High Desert region covers Northern Nevada.
The Senators were led by T.J. Abreau, Chris Ramos and C.J. Haynes against Reed. Abreau had a high game of 232 against Reed and Joe Clay also had a high game of 223.
Other members of the team were Robyn Conn, Brandon Beach, Rene Furhman, Morgan Dickens and Zack Tersterge. Ramos is the only senior.
Beach had the high game of the sesaon in Northern Nevada with a 266. Conn also had the high average for girls in Northern Nevada with a 174 and the high series with a 624.
Bill Baker, Pinon Plaza Bowling Center manager, who coaches the team, also said Furhman was one of the team's top bowlers in the last three weeks.
"They've improved every week," Baker said. "They did really well. They came a long ways."
