A graveside inurnment for Joseph C. Werner, 70, a Carson City resident for the past 10 years, will be at 11 a.m. March 21 at the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.
Mr. Werner died March 9, 2003, in Sparks. He was born Sept. 27,1932, in Abington, Pa., to John and Marie Bessler Werner.
He attended high school in Pennsylvania.
He married Patricia Carr Dec. 15, 1955, in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Werner was a journeyman carpenter in construction and helped build the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas and several space shuttles. He was a member of St. Mary in the Mountains Catholic Church in Virginia City.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Among his survivors are his wife, Patricia of Carson City; sons Joe, Glen, John and Stephen and daughters Sharon, Dawn, Donna and Bernadette, all of Warminster, Pa.; sister, Gwenn Wismar of Florida; cousin, Jim Smith of Warminster; and 15 grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
