The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
-- A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 5:45 a.m. Saturday in the 3300 block of East Fifth Street on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence and having no driver's license. Bail was set at $1,265.
-- A 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 12:07 a.m. Saturday in the 2900 block of East Nye Lane on misdemeanor suspicion of obstructing a police officer and being a minor consuming alcohol. Bail was set at $590.
-- A 37-year-old Carson City landscaping worker was arrested at 9 p.m. Friday in the 3500 block of North Carson Street on misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,105.
-- Paul Garcia Martinez, a 19-year-old cashier from South Lake Tahoe, was arrested at 2:43 p.m. Friday at Camile and Bodie streets after being stopped by deputies for a broken tail lamp.
Police reports say the deputy spotted a bunch of miscellaneous ski equipment inside the vehicle. When questioned, Martinez allegedly admitted it had been stolen from vehicles in the Lake Tahoe area. He was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property and misdemeanor non working tail lamp and non working turn signal. Bail was set at $25,00.
-- Juan Vasquez, a 19-year-old house cleaner from South Lake Tahoe, was also arrested at 2:43 p.m. Friday at Camile and Bodie streets on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing justice. Police reports say Vasquez gave police a false name and had paraphernalia in his pocket when arrested. Vasquez was the passenger in the car driven by Paul Garcia Martinez. His bail was set at $25,000.
-- A 51-year-old telephone installer from Oceanside, Calif., was arrested at 1:35 p.m. Friday after making death threats to nurses at the Carson-Tahoe Hospital Life Stress center. The man was booked and kept for a mental health evaluation was held without bail.
