A funeral for Doris Wilson, 85, a Carson City resident for the past 35 years, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Carson City.
Mrs. Wilson died May 26, 2003, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Nov. 6, 1917, in Ogden, Utah, to Earl and Sarah Ann Lincoln Johnson.
She married Richard Wilson in 1954.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Washoe Valley.
Mrs. Wilson loved gardening, camping and dogs. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Second Ward.
She was preceded in death by her husband and sons John and Jerry Armstrong.
Among her survivors are her sons Thomas Armstrong of Cordellia, Calif., and Stephen Armstrong, of Sparks; nephew, Jim Johnston; sister, Eileen Johnston of Stinson Beach, Calif.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
