A memorial service for Paul H. Michel, 82, a Gardnerville resident for the past 29 years, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Carson Valley Lodge 33 F&AM, 1419 Highway 395, Gardnerville, with Worshipful Master Robert Anderson presiding.
Mr. Michel died Nov. 3, 2003, in Gardnerville. He was born April 23, 1921, in Fillmore, Calif., to Irvin and Anne Bell Parr Michel.
He married June Foster on March 25, 1943, in Reno.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Salinas, Calif., for 12 years.
Mr. Michel was an aircraft shop foreman at Fort Ord, Calif., and retired in 1973. He was a member of Carson Valley Masonic Lodge 33 F&AM.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his brother.
Among his survivors are his wife of Gardnerville; children William I. Mitchell of Dayton, Michelle Werner of Mountain Ranch, Calif., Valerie Sims of Las Vegas and Dianna of Gardnerville; sister, Ruth Oden of Modesto, Calif.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
