A service for Thomas William Jones, 79, a Carson City resident for the past 18 years, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. at FitzHenry's.
Mr. Jones died Nov. 6, 2003, in Reno of heart failure. He was born Dec. 13, 1923, in Detroit, Mich., to Peter N. and Helen Pihl Jones.
He received training in the military for airplane mechanics and electronics technician.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and Korean War Veterans, Association 198.
He was a Catholic.
Mr. Jones served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a private first class. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a corporal during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his wife Magda and son Winfred.
Among his survivors are his second wife, Maria, of Carson City; daughter, Lillian Jones of Washoe Valley; son-in-law Gualdino Rosa and grandchildren Leila Rosa and Dino Rosa.
Burial will be at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
