A Fernley woman was in good condition Saturday at Washoe Medical Center after being backed over in the parking lot of CJ Mackay's in Fernley earlier that morning.
Becky Bogue, 32, said she was talking to someone in the parking lot when a woman backed over her.
"The only thing that stopped her from driving right over me was my head," Bogue said from the hospital Saturday night. "The front tire stopped right at my head."
Lyon County Sheriff's Sgt. Shane Lott in his report said Dawn Saul, of Yellowstone, Mont., got into a 1994 GMC Jimmy without seeing Bogue and backed over her at 2:55 a.m.
The truck stopped on top of Bogue.
"They all had to lift it off of me," Bogue said. "My legs were under the tires. I'm hurting pretty bad."
She was taken by Care Flight helicopter to Washoe Medical Center.
Bogue bought a house in Fernley five months ago, coming from Olympia, Wash.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing. It's unclear if alcohol was a contributing factor.
