Services for Carson Valley native Richard A. Settelmeyer, 81, will be 10 a.m. Dec. 2 at Walton's Chapel of the Valley, 1281 N. Roop St.

Mr. Settelmeyer died Nov. 22, 2003, in Reno.

Born April 6, 1922, in Gardnerville to Frank F. and May Marquat Settelmeyer, he was a graduate of Douglas High School.

Mr. Settelmeyer never married and was a rancher on the family cattle-and- dairy ranch in Minden.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his brothers.

Mr. Settelmeyer is survived by nieces Karen White of Minden and Marie Layton of Reno; and grandniece, Renae of Minden.

Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
