The Carson High girls soccer team had no problem scoring in an 18-0 win over Hug on Saturday.

There's lots of news about local racers this week. The benefit race for Ron Williams at Thunder Bowl last Saturday night was a rousing success, with a record number of both competitors and spectators on hand.

South Tahoe mauled by Tigers

The Douglas varsity football team brought its best offense and defense to South Tahoe Saturday afternoon and showed the Vikings why many consider the Tigers to be the top team in the Northern Nevada 4A League with a 56-27 romp.

It was a perfect night for Homecoming Thursday night at Dayton. The King and Queen were crowned, the floats paraded around the field and the weather was pleasant. There was a pretty good football game, too.
