-- Pintail Early: Oct. 11 - 15.
-- Pintail Late: Dec. 2 - Jan. 25.
-- Canvasback: Oct. 11 - 15.
-- Canvasback Late: Oct. 17 - Dec. 10.
The bag limits are:
General duck: 7 daily and 14 in possession.
Pintail: 1 daily and 2 in possession.
Canvasback: 1 daily and 2 in possession.
Mallard: Included within the general duck limit, but to include not more than 2 hen Mallards or 4 in possession.
Redhead: 2 daily and 4 in possession.
Scaup: 4 daily and 8 in possession.

-- General season early: Oct. 11 - 15.
-- General season late: Oct. 17 - Jan. 25.
The bag limit is 8 and the possession limit is 16.
SPECIAL NOTE:
For all species listed above, please note that there is a one-day closure on Oct. 16 to comply with the Federal framework for waterfowl hunting.
All of those seasons are closed on Oct. 16.
IN ADDITION:
All waterfowl hunters are required to have Federal and state waterfowl hunting stamps.
A Nevada State Duck Stamp ($5) is required for any person 12-64 years old who hunts migratory birds, except mourning or white-winged dove, snipe, coot or moorhen.
A Federal Migratory Game Bird Hunting Stamp ($16 at NDOW) is required for any person 16 or older who hunts any migratory waterfowl.
Hunters must also possess a Harvest Information Program (HIP) validation number from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. That number is free and is available by calling (800) WETLAND or go to Internet website www.wetland.net.
Non-toxic shot is required in shotgun shells.
Shotguns must be plugged to limit overall shot shell capacity to only three shells.
