James Henry Sorlien, 45, a Carson City resident for the past 17 years, died Oct. 19, 2003, in Eugene, Ore. He was born Nov. 22, 1957, in Miles City, Mont.
He graduated from Carson High School in 1976 and attended Western Nevada Community College for four years.
He married Debbie Sorlien on Oct. 15, 1983, in Carson City.
Mr. Sorlien was a retired Nevada Division of Forestry firefighter.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Richards; father, Henry Sorlien; step-father, Harold Richards; and sister, Carol Parent.
Among his survivors are his wife Debbie and children Jamie and Jason, all of Carson City; sisters Clarice Bargmann of Gillette, Wyo., Jackie Shannon of Carson City, Sandy Bowler of Utah and Anna Mae Dabling of California; grandson Teigen Key of Carson City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
Private family celebrations of life will be held.
