Josh Caron won both his matches at No. 1 singles as the Carson High boys tennis team rolled to a 33-12 win over North Valleys on Thursday at Centennial Park.
Caron won 6-3, 6-1. Also in singles, Andy Roullard won 6-3 and Jeremy Grunert won 6-2. Chris Wear also played well for Carson in singles, winning 6-0, 6-4 and losing 4-6 to North Valleys' No. 1 player.
In singles as well, Devon Anderson and Jeff Gesick each played well as both lost 4-6 in singles and Brian Ellis also played well in a 2-6 loss.
In doubles, Ben Peterson and Adrian Zeh won 6-4, Daniel Neiman and Grant Jeppson won 6-1, Nathaniel Hamer and James Reavis won 6-1, John Kim and Chris McEachern won 6-1, Ryan Zaro and Kyle Boschutt played well in a 3-6 loss and Matt Morris and Wheeler Cowperthwaite played well in a 3-6 loss. Nick Smallman and Jeff Van Epps swept their matches 6-2, 6-0.
CARSON GIRLS 42, NORTH VALLEYS 3
The Carson girls tennis team received outstanding efforts from Desi Casci in singles and Tee Reymus and Amy Milholland in doubles.
Casci swept both her matches, winning 6-3 and coming back from a 3-2 deficit to beat North Valleys' No. 1 player 6-4. Also in singles, Natalie Rogers and Michelle Van Epps each swept 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, Reymus and Milholland swept 6-0, 6-3, Emily Ortiz and Katie Elverum won 6-4, Aaren Porteur and Amber Whitworth swept 6-0, 6-0 and Staci Cobler and Jenae Jeppson swept 6-0, 6-0, 6-0.
