MINDEN -- A Gardnerville man was arrested Monday in connection with the Sept. 24 armed robbery of Hamdogs Bar and Restaurant.
Tracey Lee Lock, 29, was arrested about 4 p.m. after parole and probation officers went to his home on an unrelated matter.
They found him hiding in a closet. They also discovered a handgun, which led to Lock's arrest for being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.
Lock was a former employee of Hamdogs who left three or four months ago.
He is being held in Douglas County jail for parole violation, robbery, kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon.
According to Douglas County Sheriff's Sgt. Tom Mezzetta, the robbery occurred about 2:10 a.m. as two employees and a patron were inside Hamdogs Bar and Restaurant at 1267 Highway 395.
"The suspect fired a single round from his weapon during the initial confrontation to gain the attention and compliance of those inside the business," said Mezzett.
He then herded the trio into a storeroom where he locked them inside and fled with the money.
About 10 minutes later, Mezzetta said, the three hostages were able to escape and call for help.
