We dislike to discuss the future life, but if either of these gentlemen ever lie in flames, they must not feel slighted if no old acquaintance comes to their rescues.

Homer A. Craig, the Pacific Coast agent for the Pennsylvania Insurance Co., has gone a little out of the beaten track by introducing to farmers a new barley known as the Moravian, or Hanna, barley. It is the most prolific of any barley.

70 YEARS AGO

Word has arrived of the marriage of Miss Jeane Wingfield to Chauncey McKeever at Chicago. Miss Wingfield is the daughter of George Wingfield of Reno. She made her debut in San Francisco in 1930 and to the court of St. James two years later. The ceremony at City Hall was followed by a wedding breakfast at the Ritz-Carlton given by Mrs. Adolph B. Spreckels of San Francisco.

50 YEARS AGO

Clemente Granata and son Bill returned from a five-week trip to Italy. It was Granata's first visit in 30 years. He said the people for the most part are happy, but there is a shortage of money. He visited his hometown of Tarre DiPlume and most of Italy.

20 YEARS AGO

Minden: Three engineers from the People's Republic of China are participating in a three-month training program at Bently Nevada. They are Guan Ping Feng, Shang Hin Fu and Ke Yan Wei, all of Beijing. They will represent Bently Nevada as service engineers.
