A service for Wayne R. Davis, 81, a longtime Nevada resident and Carson City resident for the past 16 years, will be this afternoon at 2900 Century Drive.
Mr. Davis died July 30, 2004, in Carson City. He was born April 26, 1923, in Fallon to Waldo R. and Lois Cowan Davis.
He graduated from Fallon High School.
Mr. Davis was the vocational rehabilitation shop foreman for the state of Nevada. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and coached Little League in Wadsworth and Fernley.
He served in the Army Air Corps in England during World War II.
He enjoyed his family.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Among his survivors are his wife, Patricia; daughters Wilma Whitall of England, Garnet Nekjuda of Loveland, Colo., Darcy Kerns of Carson City and Raylynn Percy of Shelling, Calif.; sons Gary Davis of Boise, Idaho, Dana Davis of Springdale, Ark., and Craig Davis of Carson City; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
