Dorothy Brennan Prentiss died Aug. 10, 2004. She was born Nov. 29, 1920, in Escalon, Calif., to William H. and Hedvig Peterson Brennan.
She married Hugh V. Prentiss in Gardnerville in June 1942.
He preceded her in death in August 2002.
Mrs. Brennan enjoyed quilting, crocheting, digging in the dirt in her flower garden and her dog, Kutie.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Gail and John Nelson; son and daughter-in-law Alan and Carolyn Prentiss; sister, Norah Brennan; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
At her request, no service will be held.
A family remembrance was held Aug. 11.
