The National Weather Service in Reno issued a severe thunderstorm warning and flash flood warning for eastern Douglas County at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Two inches of rain has fell in the Pine Nut Mountains and flooding was expected for those living near Pine Nut and Buckeye creeks.
At 5:42 p.m. National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing golf-ball sized hail. These storms were located along a line extending from central Douglas County to south central Douglas County - or along a line extending from 12 miles east of Gardnerville to Topaz Lake and moving north at 5 mph.
A flash flood warning was also issued for the Waterfall fire burn area until 7 Saturday night.
